In the third inning, Emily Tyler's (Gregori HS) fielder's choice brought home Kesaia Faasisila (Tracy HS), who had previously reached base with one of her two hits for the day. Faasisila's speed on the bases was a constant threat, although she was caught stealing once.

On the mound, Modesto's Heffernan was exceptional, pitching a complete game shutout. Heffernan allowed only two hits over seven innings and struck out ten Folsom Lake batters, demonstrating remarkable control and efficiency with 63 strikes out of 90 pitches.

In the circle, Modesto's Heffernan delivered a stellar performance, pitching a second complete game shutout on the day. Heffernan allowed only five hits and struck out seven batters, demonstrating control and precision with 78 pitches, 52 of which were strikes.
