State Preview Tournament - Hunter Ranch proved a challenge for the pirates with hilly terrains and blind shots into the green. Competing against 14 teams from all over the state, Modesto was in 3rd place after day one with Mikaella Manto coming in with the low score for the pirates at 83. Day two was cold and foggy but the Pirates managed to make up 11 strokes and finish in 2nd place overall (690) with every pirate shooting in the 80's. Mt. Sac finished in first place with an impressive 352 and only 4 golfers. Only 4 golfers in the 74 player tournament managed to score in the 70's . Modesto is looking to prepare and come in strong next month for the State tournament Nov 13/14.
