Modesto Invitational Sept 7 MJC Women take First!

Under very warm weather conditions, with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees, the Pirates shot a team score of 328 at Madera Golf & Country Club in Madera at the Modesto Junior College Preseason Invitational.  The golf course played very toughly, with rolling hillside lies and out of bounds on many holes, which made scoring very difficult for the players on the afternoon.  The Pirates finished in 1st Place on the day, defeating 5 very competitive programs from Northern California.  Leading the way for the Pirates was Makena Ebster , with a solid round of 80. Janea Caparros came in with a gutsy round of 82, which put her in a tie for 3^rd place Individually on the day!, Madison Blanc and Shealyn Hanrahan who both tied for the final counting scores on the day for the Pirates, shot rounds of 83.  The Pirates should be very proud of their efforts on the day, and it was a great way to kick off the 2021 season for the Women's Golf Team!
