Game One: ARC 8-MJC 1 The Pirates dropped their 4th game in a row as the bats were silent in the first contest of the postponed game on Saturday. MJC held a tie game at one a piece going into the bottom of the 5th inning and then ARC scored three in the 5th and 4 in the 6th to blow it open. MJC managed only 4 hits in the game; three of them coming from Kalissa Martin (Manteca HS) and the other from Jana Fontana (Beyer HS). Martin was 3-3 and Fontana was 1-3. Nicole Chapman (Ripon Chr. HS) has the lone RBI in the game from a sacrifice flyball to score Martin in the 3rd inning. Bethanie Thornberry (Ceres HS) pitched 6 innings and gave up 8 runs on 13 hits and only 2 walks.
Game Two: MJC 10 – ARC 4: In game two the Pirates found the bats late in the game scoring 3 in the 5th, 2 in the 6th and 3 in the 7th to beat the Beavers. The Pirates had 9 hits in the game McKenna Daley (Ripon HS) was 2-4 with 2 runs, Kara Pittel (Enochs HS) was 2-4 a run and 2 RBI's and Bianca Albarran (Johansen HS) was 2-3 with an RBI and a double. Hailey Hunter (Lathrop HS) was 1-4 a run, RBI and Martin was 1-4 and 4RBI's with a run scored. Fontana scored 2 runs and was 1-4. CJ Baxter (Enochs HS) went the entire 7 innings allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. She had 4 walks and 3 strike outs.
The Pirates visit Sacramento City College on Tuesday April 26th at 3pm.
