Coach Peterson has been coaching football locally since 1997 and has been at MJC since 2015. He is a 1991 graduate of Turlock High and a 1996 graduate of San Francisco State where he lettered in basketball. Kirk is employed by Stanislaus County Office of Education and works with special needs students. He lives in Turlock with his wife Kim and his three daughters Paige, Avery, & Mia.
