Forrest "Forddy" Anderson (1938-39)

Forrest "Forddy" Anderson continued on to play basketball at Stanford University, graduating in 1946. He was head basketball coach at Drake University two seasons (1946-48), six years at Bradley (1948-54) and 11 years at Michigan State (1954-65).  Anderson's 1950 and 1954 Bradley teams lost in the NCAA finals, while his 1957 Michigan State club finished fourth in the tournament. His 1959 Michigan State team lost in the regional finals.  Anderson coached Hiram Scott College in Nebraska for five seasons (1965-70) and also coached the Peru national team in 1970-71.  He was an NBA scout for 17 years, eight with the Golden State Warriors and nine as head scout of the Boston Celtics. He retired from the Celtics after the 1994-95 season.
