Brian Beeman named MJC Women's Cross-Country and Women's Track & Field Head Coach
Brian Beeman is entering his 8th season at Modesto Junior College and his 1st year as head coach of the women's cross country and track and field. This will be his 15th season overall coaching with his prior years spent at Division II universities, Chico State and Colorado Mesa.
While at MJC Brian has helped cultivate and maintain a winning, family-like culture that is regarded as one of the best in the state on and off the track. Combined with the men's and women's programs he has helped the track programs to 4 Big 8 Conference titles, 1 CVC Championship (Covid 21), 2 NorCal titles (1 for each program) and a 3rd place team finish at the 2024 State Championships in 2024 for the women. The teams consistently maintain high GPAs and high transfer rates to desired universities.
Brian is a MJC alumni where he competed as a decathlete and transferred to Chico State. He went on to compete as a nationally ranked decathlete and earn his Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Brian started his coaching career at Chico State as a volunteer assistant and has worked his way to becoming a head coach. His time as a decathlete has given him the ability to coach every event in track and field, which he has done while at MJC.
To this day he credits coach Snaer for letting him join the team and change his path in life. Brian understands the value of opportunity and what it can do for young student-athletes. This is something he hopes to continue to give to student-athletes at MJC as the new women's head coach. MJC is about giving young adults a platform to grow and learn how to be successful student-athletes and human beings. The journey begins at MJC, but doesn't end here.
