Pirate Volleyball Strengthens 2025 Roster with Four New Additions
Modesto, Ca
The Pirate volleyball program is gearing up for the 2025 season with four standout recruits, each bringing talent and experience to the court.
Amia Dancer – A versatile 5'6" outside hitter and defensive specialist from Modesto, CA, Dancer is expected to make an immediate impact on defense and passing. A two-time varsity starter at Beyer High School, she played a crucial role in leading her team to the section semifinals as a junior. In her senior year, she served as team captain, earned MVP honors, and was named First Team All-League.
Shayla McKeon – The 5'9" pin hitter from Ripon, CA, is known for her competitive spirit and leadership.
"Shayla is a competitor with an attitude coaches dream of," said Head Coach Brenda Moser. As a two-year varsity starter at Ripon High School, she helped her team secure back-to-back league titles (TVL 2023 & 2024), a section runner-up finish in 2023, and a section championship in 2024.
Hannah Tillery – A skilled 5'9" setter from Waterford, CA, Tillery brings much-needed depth to the Pirates' setting rotation. A three-year varsity player at Central Catholic High School in Modesto, she was an integral part of the Raiders' offense in two consecutive league championships and a section runner-up finish in 2023.
Finley Rosa – Rounding out the first wave of recruits is Finley Rosa, a dynamic 5'8" outside hitter from Hilmar, CA. "We have been missing a six-rotation player like Finley. She is going to elevate every aspect of our 2025 team," said Coach Moser. Rosa played a pivotal role in Hilmar High School's impressive postseason run, helping the Yellowjackets secure the 2024 section title and finish as the 2024 CIF Division IV State Runner-Up. Rosa earned team MVP, First team all league and league most outstanding player her senior season.
With these talented additions, the Pirates are setting their sights on a strong and competitive 2025 season.
