Lady Pirates Overcome Sierra in the Big 8 Conference Semifinals

The women traveled to Sierra college yesterday for the conference semifinals.  After taking 2 out of 3 doubles matches it was going to come down to singles matches.  After some hard fought matches the Pirates were down 3-4 and needed two more wins to clinch the match.  Josie Bohn (Ripon Christian) won 6-4, 6-4 at #5 singles to tie the match at 4-4 and then Eva Whitby (El Capitan) would seal the win with a 7-5, 7-5 victory.  The ladies avenged an earlier loss to Sierra and are now 8-4 overall and in 2^nd place in the Big 8.  They will travel to top ranked American River College this Friday.
