Pirate Tennis Continues to Excel

The men's tennis team defeated Folsom Lake College 6-3.  The Pirates won 2 of 3 doubles matches and then four of six singles matches.  Jack Conte (Sonora HS) avenged an earlier loss by edging the #3 player 6-3, 7-6(6).  Alex Carlin (Enochs) battled back after losing the first set but fell in three sets at the #4 spot, 6-1, 2-6, 6-1.  The Pirates improved to 9-1 overall and are in second place in the Big 8.  They host Fresno City tomorrow at 1 and travel to American River on Friday to take on the top ranked Beavers.
