MJC Basketball Sets Scoring Records in Win over Folsom Lake

The Modesto Junior College Men's Basketball team set a new school record, defeating Folsom Lake College 123-91 in a record-breaking performance at home. The victory marked the highest point total ever scored by an MJC Men's team in a single game, and the combined score of 214 points between both teams also became a new school record. Modesto's offense was unstoppable, taking control of the game early and never looking back. The Pirates' dominant performance saw them outscore Folsom Lake by 15 points in the first half, leading 56-41, and then pouring on another 67 points in the second half.
The standout performance of the game came from Ylan Esso, who scored a game-high 40 points, making it one of the top individual performances in school history. Esso's shooting display, which included several crucial three-pointers, was key to the team's victory. With the win, Modesto Junior College improved to an 18-3 overall record and remains undefeated in Big 8 Conference play with a perfect 9-0 record. This victory highlighted the team's scoring prowess and underscored their growing dominance in the conference as they continued to build momentum for the remainder of the season.
