Mac Martinez (1947-49)
A boxing champion while sport was in vogue in colleges…. Won State 130-pound title in ’47, Western States title in ’48, and NorCal titles in ’47 and ’48… At San Jose State, was NCAA champion in ’50, and runner-up in ’49… Coached boxing, swimming and water polo at Bay Area high schools and colleges in ‘50s and ‘60s.
