MJC's Diego Guerra and Sofia Heutmaker named CCCWPCA NorCal Players of the Week

Men
Modesto goalkeeper Diego Guerra helped the Pirates to a 4-0 outing at the Bill Anttila Tournament at San Joaquin Delta. The 6-1 sophomore from Fresno's Bullard High School totaled 54 saves in those four games, including 19 saves in a 14-12 championship game win over host Delta. Guerra currently leads the 3C2A with 160 saves in 11 contests.
Women
Another Pirate netminder, Sofia Heutmaker, led Modesto to a 3-2 week, including a 2-2 weekend at the West Valley Invitational. The 6-0 sophomore from Modesto's Gregori High School recorded 89 saves in Saratoga. She had 19 against Las Positas, 29 against Ventura, 18 vs. Fresno City and 23 against West Valley. Like Guerra, Heutmaker leads the 3C2A in saves with 180 in ten games.
